Jakarta Car Spotting: The Good Stuff

Hi! My name is Ilya; I suppose my first post should be what my series/blog is all about. Car spotting! In Jakarta!! Sometimes you get to see really nice cars amongst all the other crap besides. Here’s some of the pics that I took some time ago! (early 2015)

When I was in a taxi, I spotted this nice Bug-eye Impreza in South Jakarta. It seems to be stock, but I’m not sure. Is that intercooler stock?? Can someone tell me?

An odd thing about this particular Impreza is that it doesn’t have front plates. How is this thing legal?

When you’re desperate to see some Italian exotica, I guess you have to go to a mall! In the Central of Jakarta, more fortunate people roam the streets with their expensive exotics. However, you can see them in shopping malls. At the very least you can examine them! A Ferrari 458 would cost over 200-300% more than MSRP in America due to high import taxes. Crazy shit.

This one has a bit of a story. It was l

ate at night, and I was in a car with my friends when I spotted this gem across the street! A Nissan R34 with a Nismo kit. The R34 is one of my favorite cars in the world! And seeing one can make my whole day. So I told my friends to pull over and I ran to the middle of the street to take the picture of the beauty.

I guess this is it for now~ I hope to share more pictures and stories later on! Next up, crap cars and an upcoming Asian Motor Show~~
